
The Youth Suicide Prevention and Response Network (YSPRN) was part of the Youth Suicide Reporting and Crisis Response Pilot Program, which ended on June 30, 2025. This website will remain open through June 30, 2026, with archived content to support the work of California counties engaging in youth suicide prevention and response efforts at the community/county level. The California Department of Public Health, Office of Suicide Prevention is committed to remaining a resource for these efforts and continues to engage with YSPRN counties. Who we are
CARS

CARS is a California-based nonprofit dedicated to enriching the behavioral and public health field by promoting evidence-based practice and workforce development. Teams provide training, consultation, and coaching to individuals, organizations, and agencies to foster safe, healthy, and engaged persons and communities. Through national, state, and local projects, CARS brings a diverse and multi-disciplinary team to create varied and ongoing opportunities for peer learning and knowledge transfer through dynamic learning and practice communities among funding recipients, collaborators, and leaders and practitioners in similar roles.

Injury and Violence Prevention Branch (IVPB)
The Injury and Violence Prevention Branch (IVPB) is the focal point for the California Department of Public Health’s injury prevention efforts, both epidemiological investigations and implementation of prevention programs to reduce intentional and unintentional injuries. Prevention efforts include epidemiological surveillance, planning and consensus building, interventions, policy development, professional education and training, and public information.
